The Magnolia Bone Keepers" follows the adventurous sisters Cali, ten, and Charli, thirteen, as they explore the deep Piney Woods of rural Mississippi. One scorching summer, while on a fossil hunt down a dry creek bed, they unearth a massive, glowing "keeper bone" – a petrified dinosaur bone that radiates an ancient, living energy. This discovery awakens the Glimmerkins, tiny, luminous spirit-folk who reveal that they are tethered to the land's magical ley lines, and the keeper bone is an anchor for this power. The Glimmerkins, who were fading due to a creeping "Shadow Mire" born from neglected natural sites and forgotten grief, implore Cali and Charli for help. The Shadow Mire is actively trying to reach the Heartbone, the most ancient keeper bone deep in the Delta swamps, which would extinguish all magic and the Glimmerkins' very existence if it falls into darkness. The sisters, one intuitive and the other logical, must team up with the Glimmerkins to embark on a perilous quest to protect their home and preserve the hidden magic of the land from this encroaching shadow.
