After following the call to China, Sandra King proceeded to open three orphanages and three half-way homes to rescue children and find them new homes. Many of these children had special needs and were therefore shunned by society. Through Sandra's care and love, these children thrived and were eventually adopted by loving parents from around the world. The Mission in China describes how God guided Sandra, sustained her and protected her, helping her to save 670 babies. You will laugh and cry and be astounded by what Sandra had to endure during her thirty years of work, as well as the many supernatural miracles, visions, angelic encounters and healings along the way. Her prayer is that each reader will be encouraged to live a life of faith in a powerful and loving God. This is the second book in the series, describing Sandra's work in China. The first is The Call to China . The 3rd and last book, The Blessings from China , describes the work of the Holy Spirit during this time. What can I say other than WOW! I had heard of Sandra's work in China about seven years ago and met her in Dargaville in 2018 when she finally returned to New Zealand. I have had some experiences with God working in my life and was interested in what Sandra was saying about how God had guided her, sustained her, and protected her, and 670 babies. I had met Sandra numerous times before I read "The Call to China" and she had told me snippets of God's hand with her at the three orphanages and in her daily life in China. Having read the book "The Call to China", I am thrilled to know that God is very active in people like Sandra, in serving God the way she has. I am absolutely amazed how God has guided Sandra and provided all she has needed herself and for 670 babies. I am a very rare reader of any books besides the Bible and manuals but "The Call to China" is a great read and a prelude to the next two books that I am really looking forward to reading. When I had finished reading "The Call to China" in three days about 4-5 hours in total which is unheard of for me, the only thing I could say was "WOW"! What an experience Sandra has had with God, and what a God. Sandra's experience reminded me of Abram (Abraham) being called out of Chaldea and by faith following God's instructions and God providing; not knowing where to go, why, or how it's going to work out but by faith being obedient. Mike Hadland Sandra was called by God to go to China in the late '80s. There God led her to open 3 orphanages and 3 halfway homes to save unwanted children to be adopted by loving families around the world. Sandra saved 670 babies over a period of 30 years.
