I couldn't put this book down. Loved the characters and what a thrill to have it in Scotland! Bookbub reviewer 5 STARS Aunt Claire seemed fine - until she died Foul play didn’t occur to me, but I have this friend. Her name’s Daisy and... she's kinda weird. (Don't tell her I said that... please.) Actually, not so much weird as - different? You see, Daisy's 5' 2" with the sort of face Barbie dolls used to have, a black belt in judo, and what the yanks call “attitude” - that kind of different. (On second thoughts - she is weird.) Anyway, Daisy watches a lot of crime shows on Netflix and fancies herself an amateur sleuth. As if we didn't have enough to do, getting the hotel Aunt Claire bequeathed me back on its feet. With no bookings and a crumbling facade, it won't be an easy task. The hotel needs a lot of money poured into it – where’s that going to come from? Seems like no time since we were moaning about our dead-end jobs in Edinburgh, and now here we are in this lovely highland village with all our dreams come true (if you don’t count imminent bankruptcy) … and Daisy wants to rock the boat by playing detective? She drives me nuts. Now, lying here waiting to die, I realise too late... ... that I should have listened to her WHAT READERS ARE SAYING: "This is a fun and surprising story with really interesting characters (especially Daisy, with her many hidden talents!), a no-good boyfriend, and a very twisty plot." Goodreads reviewer 5 STARS WOW I had fun with this mystery. It kept me guessing throughout the book. I loved the characters... Amazon.com reviewer 5 STARS
