The Garden Club Gang has a murder to solve… and an alibi to break. Arthur Simmons, age 72, has been Alice Beauchamp’s gardening buddy for four years. When she finds him dead in his plot at the community garden, an Epi-pen just out of reach, she calls paramedics. The police consider it an unfortunate accident, but Alice has seen Arthur stung many times; and she has never seen him with an injector. She thinks it’s murder and there are other subtle clues to support her view. There is one person who won’t mourn Arthur’s passing, and that’s his much younger second wife, Jennifer. But she couldn’t have killed Arthur because she was a hundred miles away at a spa and has an air-tight alibi. It will fall to the Garden Club Gang to break that alibi. At stake, though, isn’t just solving a crime: there’s valuable intellectual property involved.
