The Mythic Circle #46: 2024 is the creative writing journal of the Mythopoeic Society, in continuous publication since 1987. Each issue contains stories, poems, and images in a mythic vein inspired by the works of writers such as J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis. This issue contains stories about dragons, re-tellings of classic myths in both traditional and modern ways, magical characters and events, and original folk tales; poems that celebrate life, the Earth, nature, mythic warfare, and archeological treasures; and myth-themed images such as a tree that was formerly a nymph, or a stained-glass picture of a mythic beast. The content is overall family-friendly and mostly optimistic in tone. Readers who enjoy fantasy literature will also be likely to enjoy the stories and poems in The Mythic Circle #46: 2024 .
