Slosman (1925-1981) était une personne d'apparence et de santé extrêmement fragile, mais animée d'une force intérieure intense qui le maintenait en vie, motivée par le désir d'achever une oeuvre en 10 volumes qui devait être un immense tissage de la permanence du monothéisme à travers le temps, et que sa mort prématurée ne lui a pas permis d'achever. Un banal accident, une fracture du col du fémur, à la suite d'une chute dans les locaux de la Maison de la Radio à Paris, l'a emporté, peut-être parce que son corps, (sa carcasse humaine comme il aimait à le dire) déjà bien ébranlé, n'a pas résisté à une agression supplémentaire, aussi insignifiante soit-elle.
