Red-T Publishing, New York City I have a connection to my childhood home in Floral Park that I don't fully understand. To this day, the majority of my dreams take place in this house. I can picture the entire house as it was in my head right now. There have been updates and renovations made, but I see it as it was. About two years ago, I had a dream that truly shook me. I was about 9 or 10 years old and in the attic with my mom. She asked me to fetch some cardboard boxes from the unfinished section of the attic, where my dad had placed wood planks across the rafters and used them as a storage area for seasonal items, such as Christmas decorations. Carefully walking across the planks toward the boxes, I saw something in the far corner tucked between two of the rafters. As I got closer, I realized it was an old bird's nest with a bright white skeleton curled up inside. I carefully retrieved it, and when I looked inside, I saw exactly what is on the cover of my first book. I awoke at about 4 a.m., drew the skeleton in the nest as accurately as I could, and wrote down all of the details of my dream. The next day, I started writing T he Plain Field, and in less than two years, I had completed all three books in the trilogy, including cover art and spot illustrations. The second book is The Plain Field / Shadow Twins . The third book and final book is The Plain Field / Eyes and Ash .
