What would you do if all your choices were made by the ruling class? I mean whom to marry, where you work, even when you will die? You are controlled by a computer death chip in your left hand. Sylas Wallis Forsthy is a lowly cog in the One World Order system governing the world. Even thou he passed every test to graduate to the lowest rung of the governing class he too has a death chip in his left hand. He monitors the computer systems watching every persons activity on the world wide web. He searches web sites looking for people that are dissatisfied with their life. Mostly thou he reads old novels and books that depict other world fantasy. That is until he finds supposed lost historic files of the One World Orders take over of the world!. Those files shock him and he begins to have dreams of a mysterious young woman in a world very different from his own. Those dreams become so real he chooses to make the dream real. This is his journey to freedom and how he manages to change his world. David Baker has two forty year old Associate of Arts degrees from College of the Desert Community College in Palm Desert, Ca.. He is Sixty + years old and wanted to write a book for half that many years. He is dyslexic; and has not felt that comfortable in his writing skills. He thanks God for the computer age and the word processor. At his age, it does not matter if he cannot spell or that he sometimes misreads or misstates certain words. The computer checks his spelling and grammar. His military career was a four-year enlistment in the United States Coast Guard during the Vietnam era conflict. He spent part of that time stationed on a semi-isolated duty Loran C navigational aid station on Hokkaido Island in Japan. "Semi-isolated duty" short for a base located 60 miles from any major cities and within ten miles of a small town of about 500 people, all farmers, and shopkeepers. He fell in love with the Asian people. About ten years ago, he decided that he wanted to teach "English as a Second Language" in China. At the ripe old age of fifty-five, he actually passed a course to do just that. He taught a few classes in the Chinese school system and worked with a small independent private school to act as a drop in adjunct teacher for various English classes. The age groups ranged from first grade through high school age students. Working for a privately owned school, getting a work permit was difficult to nonexistent. Another drawback was his age. In China, the mandatory retirement age is sixty. As they say "A day late and a dollar short." Do not get him wrong. He enjoyed the experience. The experience gave him insights into some of his characters. If a variety of experiences in life is the key to being a good writer then he meets the criteria. His hobbies are all related to working with or are related to Computers.
