Caroline came to steal his secrets. But he stole her heart. When Case Pharmaceuticals investigator Caroline Oliver arrives at a decaying mansion on the Maine coast, just as a hurricane closes in, she expects corporate secrets tied to rumors of eternal life. Instead, she finds a house that is alive… and a man who should not exist. Edward Kelly is a billionaire of impossible age and rumored to be the long-dead Prohibition-era smuggler, Captain John Stewart. Haunted by a century-old curse, Stewart has spent decades hiding from a past that refuses to stay buried. A hundred years earlier, along the same storm-lashed coast, a private nurse named Ruth Wilson stepped into a world of passion, smugglers, secrets, and fell in love with a man the sea refused to drown. Now the house they built together remembers everything. As Caroline uncovers the truth of that past, she awakens something vengeful within the house's walls: something bound to betrayal, desire, and the cost of immortality. With a ruthless pharmaceutical company closing in, she and Edward must confront the past, the house, and a force born in dark waters. Because some storms do not end with the water. And some loves refuse to die. A gothic romance with strong horror and fantasy elements, The Cliff House Trilogy blends dual timelines, supernatural mystery, and an enduring love that spans more than a century. This omnibus edition includes all three novels, presenting the complete story of a haunted house, a generational curse, and a love that may be the only force powerful enough to break it. Perfect for readers of: Rebecca The Haunting of Hill House and Outlander (early books) This book began over thirteen years ago. The first draft of book one, Cliff House , was considered by Denise Zaza who was with Harlequin at that time. They were thinking of launching a Gothic Romance line. She wanted to work with me and requested I model my hero after Christian Grey. I did make my hero a billionaire, but that changed the entire story. She questioned my changes, and I questioned her suggestions. She wasn't interested in a prequel, which I had already begun, and I felt it was essential. Things ended at Harlequin. After that experience, I shelved Cliff House and Rum Runners for twelve years, and I took my writing in a new direction. But the story of a  sentient house born from forbidden waters, an immortal rum runner, and the woman destined to break a century-old curse, refused to die. The end result was The Cliff House Trilogy . That led me to do an omnibus edition, which is how this story is meant to be read. This sweeping gothic romance is alive for me. It spans generations and defies death itself. A haunting, atmospheric romance of immortality, sacrifice, supernatural secrets, generational echoes, a love that survives a century, and a destiny born of dark waters is exactly the kind of story I would love to read, and I hope readers will love reading it as much as I loved writing it. I think it will appeal to readers who love writers like Deborah Harkness, Paula Brackston, Simone St. James, or Silvia Moreno-Garcia (The Hacienda). Some storms do not end with the water. Some follow a man ashore. And wait for him in the dark. The house remembers. The sea refuses to drown. And love endures beyond death. When a hurricane threatens the Maine coast, corporate investigator, Caroline Oliver, seizes her chance to enter the crumbling Cliff House, a remote mansion rumored to be haunted, cursed, and owned by a man who should be long dead. Edward Kelly has fought these walls for a century, hiding the truth of what he became the night a storm claimed his crew and delivered him into immortality. Cliff House knows the secrets of the man the sea refused to drown. Cliff House has fed on them, hoarded them, refused to forgive them. And, now, Cliff House has learned to kill. Caroline arrives determined to uncover a corporate mystery. She finds instead a man who has carried one heartbreak across time, and a house hungry for the living. But storms never stay buried. Love never dies quietly. And the past has come home to collect. A sweeping gothic saga of forbidden love, sacred sacrifice, and redemption stronger than death. The Cliff House Trilogy has been combined into one new volume. I have written numerous books, short stories, poems, and screenplays over the years. Most of them are unavailable. My most recent fiction work is The Rum Runner: The Legend of Captain John Stewart. It is a sweeping gothic saga of forbidden love, a power born in forbidden waters, a house possessed by the sins of its past, a legacy of love stretching across generations, and a final choice between mortality and eternity. About me: I served in the Military Police Corps in the Army. I mostly worked law enforcement, but I was also attached to the Personal Security Detachment, PSD. We provided security for high-ranking officers. At one point, our team also provided residential s
