H.P. Lovecraft's classic short story in his Dreamlands Series, following "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath". Randolph Carter, a self-professed daydreamer, finds that as he matures, he has lost his ability to access the dreamscapes of his childhood. Obsessed with regaining his dreams, he embarks on a philosophical voyage questioning the nature of reality. Eventually, he speaks with his grandfather in a dream, learning of a mystical silver key which may be the key to unlocking his dreams.
