This book is a compilation of my conversations with students stylized for easy consumption. I often discuss with young black and brown enthusiasts about their plan for success and a successful future. After 13 years of teaching in Chicago, recognizing the absence of African American Men in education I wanted to make my conversations accessible to every student. Every where. I discuss the thought processes needed to overcome strife, the need for constant growth and development, the importance of reflection and the necessity of community. I hope you and a loved one read and discuss. My name is Samuel Agyarko Jr. The Educational Concierge. Curating the Future. This open letter allows me to share my experiences, my life's work and what defines my voice. I am a spiritually driven child of Ghanaian immigrants. Myself being a successful product of Chicago's inner city and Public Schools system began teaching in the urban community, I recognized the deficit in leadership that many students faced. I was compelled to act. In pursuing higher education, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science, with a minor in Economics, and I am Illinois State Board Certified in Business, Computer Science and Technology. As a lover of knowledge, I pursued my Masters in Educational Leadership to further my understanding of what is necessary to be an academic leader. I have 13 years of teaching experience at the elementary and secondary level in the Jeffrey Manor, Englewood & South Holland communities, respectively. As a product of the Hip Hop generation, I understand the importance of culturally responsive efforts to engage students. I accepted the charge to expedite the development of young men and young women. It is my hope to create thought provoking, conscious conversation for the masses by building leaders.
