Have you ever walked into an empty house and known that love had once filled it? With no pictures, people, or knowledge of who might have once lived there, how could you possibly know that the house was such a positive place? That knowing is energy. We are energy. Our thoughts, our life experiences, and even the people we choose to surround ourselves with all play a part in molding our energy. This might be a familiar concept or the first time you've heard of energy described in such a way. Everything has an electromagnetic field that gives off energy. A single cell converts nutrients into adenosine triphosphate (ATP), one of the ways a cell gains useful energy. We are made up of billions of cells; thus we too give off a considerable amount of energy called our electromagnetic field or aura. Energy can be felt and sometimes even seen, as in the aura around a person. Energy cannot be created or destroyed; rather it can change. Depending on our current state, our energy is constantly changing. I have been blessed with the ability and opportunity to make a career out of listening to others' energy. I like to refer to myself as a light worker, which simply means I have studied many forms of energy work, collecting valuable techniques along the way. I have found what works best for me, and I've practiced for many years. Honing my skills has allowed me to develop my intuition and ability to instinctively listen and feel the subtle changes in someone's energy fields. Light workers prefer to work with other divine beings, such as spirit guides, angels, and ascended masters (masters of spirituality or a religion who were once on earth) for healing, inspiration, motivation, and all things positive that would support the highest good for all. Have you ever walked past a place and felt negative vibes, thinking to yourself, I wouldn't want to ever be here at night alone?
