THERE IS DISRUPTION IN THE UNIVERSE. Because of Lilith's relentless pursuit, the demon Tarantula is forced to hide in The Between, a vaporous space surrounding the earth. As usual, Beelzebub has ulterior motives for sending her to that location. The Between is where Purgatory exists; the stopover for billions of souls not yet assigned to eternal placement in either Hell or The Above. His mandate to her: study these Indeterminates and devise a strategy to siphon off the souls that belong in Hell.
