Tessa Grant has love pretty much figured out. She is a therapist, after all, and that’s her whole job. Working at the small-town therapy practice in picturesque Summit Shores, Tess confidently guides her clients through break ups, make ups, heartbreak and everything in between— coaching them in her comprehensive (and hard-earned) theories about love and relationships. That’s why she’s confident that when her boss, Maureen, retires, she’ll be the perfect candidate to take over the practice. Or at least she was confident, until Dane Willoughby breezes into town. He’s just what Tess and Summit Shores does not need—another therapist. Especially not a hot shot, big city therapist with a book deal and regular speaking engagements. And does he have to be charming and handsome too? This town is literally not big enough for his ego. And the office is definitely not big enough for two potential candidates for Maureen’s practice. Tess is determined not to be outshone by Dane, but he seems unbothered by the competition. In fact, he seems all too eager to get to know her. With her theories and expertise as a shield to protect her heart, Tess goes toe to toe with Dane. But theories don’t stop a pulse from racing and all the expertise in the world can’t keep sparks from flying. If Tess isn’t careful, she could have more to lose than the job she’s been working so hard for. She might just lose all the things she thought she’d figured out about love.
