He raised his arm to shield his face and blinked several times, trying to understand what was happening. He tried to sit up but realized he was still attached to his seat. The chair spun around through the air like a kite as he frantically failed his arms. "The red button!" His best friend, Kiki shouted to him from below. Somehow Kiki had managed to unhook herself and still hold onto her mother's book. He was impressed. He pressed hard on the plastic red button, and his seatbelt harness released immediately. The chair flew from underneath him and drifted several feet away. Still falling fast, he swung his arms, attempting to get to Kiki. She did the same. "What's happening?" he shouted. "I. Don't.
