I haven't got there yet!"  To which he replied "You're not going on aholiday... you're going on an adventure!"As long as I have somewhere to travel... with something to see... somethingto do... and some new people to meet... I'm happy! An important part of my travels is having a good camp site at which tostay...close to a warm and friendly pub in which to relax and round off theperfect day.  And for other like-mindedsouls, I have taken great pleasure from carefully choosing some interesting andvaried locations for inclusion in my book 'The Tippler's Touring Guide to Scotland.' Clive Williams is a native of Gwent in thesouth-eastern corner of Wales which was home to the ancient British tribe theSilures.  Intensely proud of his rootsand heritage this Man of Gwent chooses to style himself 'The Silurist'. His first two publications, The Gourmet's Choice ofWorld Cuisines and The Tipplers Touring Guide to Wales, both emanate from thepleasure the author gets from good food, drink and cookery; and from his loveof the open road and meeting new people. With history being yet another of his passions, itcomes as no surprise that Clive chose a nostalgic narration of Wales' past forthe subject matter of his third title, the novel Ceridwen's Spirituelle JourneyThrough Wales' History.  In the author'sown words "A sequence of heart-warming stories... woven around important charactersand events... from days that have been." Clive's fourth book, Grampa Wil's Most Wonderful Dream, is, as you haveprobably guessed correctly, especially for the younger generation.  "I was a child myself at one time," he says..."So writing a children's book was not that difficult for me... I just had totake myself back in time a bit!" The book is also available in his own belovedWelsh tongue... which he delights in telling you is one of the oldestlanguages alive in Europe today... and is called Breuddwyd MwyaRhyfeddol Tad-cu Gwil. Clive's latest two works, The Tippler's Touring Guide to Ireland and TheTippler's Touring Guide to Scotland, are of course both sequels to TheTippler's Touring Guide to Wales. "I just simply had to complete my Tippler'sTrilogy" he says, with his customary verve... "Mustn't leave our Celtic Cousinsout!" And Clive isn't done yet! His mind is set very firmlyon his next exhilarating project in theworld of literature. So... watch this space!
