Dugan's a patriotic guy, so when the CIA came calling, he could hardly say no. That was his first mistake. There were more. Meet Tom Dugan, a wise-cracking, globe-trotting consultant with a troubled past. When the CIA asked him to use his job as cover to 'take a few pictures,' he readily agreed, unaware his life was about to be changed forever and not in a good way. This omnibus edition includes full and unabridged versions of all the Dugan thrillers written to date. That's three outstanding novels of intrigue and suspense from master storyteller R. E. THIS IS A DEAL YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS. An incredible read. Often times I read myself asleep but these books are so well written and both the plots and characters so well developed that I had to put the book down to go to sleep or spend the night reading. Following in the footsteps of great writers like Tom Clancy and Robert Ludlum, McDermott has moved close to the top of the list of my favorite authors Billy D. Strayhorn - Amazon - 5 Stars I read, probably more than I should, or so my wife says. I write very few reviews but feel compelled to do so here. It's really fun reading and geographically diverse. The characters are rich and well-developed. Mr. McDermott has done his homework here and the authenticity comes through. It's an enjoyable series and the continuity is refreshing. Good job. Tom Earnhart - Amazon - 5 Stars I bought and downloaded this box set, and, as a hedge, a couple of other books by a more famous author, in preparation for a cruise. I was going to be off line for a while and wanted to have my private time entertainment covered. Well, I never cracked the other books. McDermott grabbed me and did not let go until I had finished all three. I now have a new action series to follow. I look forward to the future antics of Tom Dugan and recommend this boxed set and any future installments to come, to my fellow action adventure aficionados. Amazon Customer - 5 Stars Wow! I don't remember how I stumbled upon this series, but halfway through I was wondering why I'd never heard of this author before and hoping to find more of his work once I'd finished devouring this trilogy. Rekindled my love of reading and contributed significantly to my chronic sleep deprivation, but no regrets here. Upon turning the final page, my Kindle helpfully suggested the Disruption Trilogy which I purchased without a second thought. Great author, great series, grateful reader. Inventurous - Amazon - 5 Stars Just finished the 3-book series, hadn't had any previous exposure to this author. Suffice to say, I was so impressed and entertained that I will be scooping up future works from McDermott. The characters are well-developed (not tiresomely when they individually come onto the stage, but over time, as circumstances mold them), plots are tight and credible, and the stories (all three are linked to a fair degree, but stand on their own just fine) snag you early and keep you reading blearily-eyed into the wee hours. Thank you, Mr. McDermott - you have a new fan! Jumper42 - Amazon - 5 Stars This three book series was so entertaining that I was looking for more. More, more, more. I could do well with the further adventures of Tom Dugan and his eclectic group of "problem solvers". That would be one fine way of spending cold winter nights, with good books, and better characters. Pete Vaughn - Amazon - 5 Stars Seaman, entrepreneur, former expatriate, and inveterate story-teller, R.E. (Bob) McDermott capped a long and varied career of international work and travel by turning to his secret passion, writing. Bob had the good fortune (and sometimes misfortune) of knowing more than a few interesting characters during his career, and bits and pieces of them populate his novels. McDermott's work is characterized by meticulous research and a gritty, seldom-matched realism. He strives to make his protagonists fallible humans - not superheroes, just ordinary people who screw up, but rise to life's challenges in extraordinary situations. Bob lives on the outskirts of Nashville, Tennessee with his patient wife (and chief proofreader) and splits his time between their condo on Old Hickory Lake and a rural retreat in the Tennessee woods with no phone, no email, and no internet. He likes that just fine and his wife is even more enthusiastic about it since they got a working toilet. Find out more about Bob's work or sign up for his mailing list at remcdermott.com
