‘The Traditional Old Catholic Missal’ is used for the English language Mass of the Old Catholic Church in the United States; as established and promulgated by the first Old Catholic Archbishop in the United States, Arnold Matthew, in 1909. The Mass uses the formula from Mass of Pius V, as established at the Council of Trent, in 1570. This Missal follows the traditional One-Year-Cycle of the traditional Catholic Liturgical Calendar prior to Vatican II. The Old Catholic Church rejects the Novus Ordo, or the Mass of Paul VI, established in 1970; and all subsequent versions of the Mass, following Vatican II.
