Richard Robinson graduated with honors and distinction from the University of Delaware and the University of Maryland. He served as a military officer, then embarked on a professional career that included: sports management, recreation facility development, coaching education, sport psychology. He is currently an instructor with The Original Golf School. His writing includes essays, poetry, and articles for golf publications. In 2018, he presented his poem, "Gentlemen of the Links" as a tribute to The St. Andrews Golf Club in St Andrews Scotland.
