In the Old Testament book of Judges, we read that Samson goes down towards Timnath to meet a beautiful woman who pleased him well, and that on the way he meets a lion, which Samson kills with his bare hands. On his way back up from Timnath, he encounters the carcass of the same lion, and discovers that there is now a swarm of bees and honey in the carcass..Thus begins the remarkable career of Samson, who makes a riddle out of the incident, and uses that riddle to wreak havoc upon his enemies.
