Forget everything you know about touch and feel books. This is not just a very bad touch and feel book, It is the world's worst touch-and-feel book. Seriously, as far as touching and feeling goes it's horrible. The running gag for this picture book is that everything you're touching is paper related. It is written in a way for children to understand the concept of dialogue versus narration. The age range for this book is 5-8 years old, but there is nothing objectionable for the preschool crowd.. It is excellent for older children who aren't proficient in reading. The 1960’s style makes it seem like a classic book you grew up with even though it's very modern. Its bright, colorful, thick-lined illustrations are designed to engage children while making the adult reading aloud nostalgic for vintage Hanna-Barbera cartoons and an Archie Double Digest . It is filled with smart, witty humor that doesn't talk down to children. The Very Bad Touch and Feel Book is a snarkie book for sarcastic tots. About the Author: Landon Reid is an award winning artist. The award in question is a soccer participation trophy. But Reid does have as many Oscars as Amy Adams and Glenn Close combined. Only Reid did it with fewer nominations. When you think about it, that makes it more impressive.
