Now a commercial airline pilot, Kuebler first formed an interest in transportation during his boyhood in Fargo, North Dakota, headquarters of the Northern Pacific's (NP) Fargo Division, where he spent his free time around the NP depot getting to know the trains and their crews. An active member of the Northern Pacific Railway Historical Association for some 25 years, he provides rail fans, historians, and modelers with a detailed history of the dome-bedecked streamliner operating on the NP line between Chicago and Seattle from 1954 to 1970.
