When Clara, a naive, impetuous farm girl, is forced to flee her home country because of religious persecution, she follows her great-grandfather’s journal on a perilous expedition to find a safe haven for her people. Along the way Clara must learn to navigate a world with more dangers—and opportunities—than she'd ever dreamed of. A hazardous sea voyage, a savage jungle, and two handsome (but exasperating) sailors, will test her to her limits, making her question if she has the grit, faith, and fortitude to reach her goal: the mythical Land of Origin.
