This book is a compilation antique firearms that I photographed and created for William Edward (Bill) Gerber. Bill was a long time, practically lifetime collector and aficionado of American firearms. With regard to firearm collecting his taste was far reaching from his early days with flintlock rifles to the more modern pre-war Colt automatic pistols. He was a 55 year member of the prestigious American Society of Arms Collectors. In this book one will find a variety of antique weapons outstanding in their rarity, historic significance and beautiful high condition. Bill was one of those long-term astute and congenial collectors of what could be called the golden era post World War II. The guns are in other hands now and likely such an assemblage will not return. It was and is my distinct pleasure to have photographed and now present, Bill’s superb and varied collection to his fraternity.
