A booming cannabis empire. A ruthless biker gang. One explosive showdown. In the lawless underbelly of Montreal, loyalty is earned in blood. After a violent motorcycle theft leaves one brother disfigured, siblings Raison and Rage are pulled deep into the unforgiving world of outlaw biker gangs. As they rise through the brutal ranks of the Dead Wolves Motorcycle Club, they clash with Big Machine, a secretive criminal organization with ambitions to dominate the underworld. When a hit squad leaves the Dead Wolves reeling, Raison strikes a high-stakes deal to earn favor with their enemies. The price: orchestrate a dangerous heist in Denver targeting the cash stores of the booming cannabis industry, protected by elite private security. Standing in their way is Mason, a war-scarred Delta Force veteran fighting his own demons, and Detective Kim Wright, a sharp investigator balancing motherhood with a growing conspiracy. As worlds collide, what begins as a strategic job spirals into a deadly war. With bullets flying, secrets unraveling, and lives on the line, the battle for control pushes each character to their limits. The Wolf and the Lion is a relentless, gritty crime thriller about power, vengeance, and the ties that bind and break. Truth, loyalty, and cash, all going up in smoke. ________________________________________________________ Book 1 of The Mason Series Fans of James Patterson, Robert Enright, Lee Child, and Michael Connelly will love The Mason Series! Five stars on Reader's Favorite As seen on "The Connect" podcast with Johnny Mithcell and "The Sitdown" with Michael Franzese. Outstanding and intense, The Wolf and The Lion by Rex Holloway packs a sledgehammer's punch that left me reeling. A roaring pace akin to a Harley Davidson tearing up the road made this novel a barrage of action that will satisfy adrenaline junkies of all stripes, and I recommend it without reservation. - Gaius Konstantine for Readers' Favorite I love a good motorcycle club series and Rex Holloway sets this one up spectacularly with The Wolf and the Lion. I think what sets this book apart is that with most novels in the MC crime genre, you're not usually rooting for the detective. Yet, in a testament to Holloway's skill as a writer, Kim became the person I most wanted to root for the moment she set up a drug bust using a dating app and online messaging to lure in the dealer. The dynamic, anger, and guilt between Raison and Rage make for an extremely unique relationship. The trauma runs deep and Holloway makes sure we understand that blood spilled changes the theory of familial thickness. The best part for me is symbolism. There's no better thematic resonance than a Flaming Molotov cocktail serving as a potent symbol of rebellion and the consequences of impulsive actions...and there's plenty here, all equally delicious. Very highly recommended. - Jamie Michele for Readers' Favorite The Wolf and the Lion is a compelling thriller chockful of action. The violence is intense, and readers are thrown into a world of danger where revenge and betrayal drive some of the characters. The world-building is impeccably handled, and the author deftly explores the underbelly of Montreal's crime world. The characters are exceptionally developed, and readers will enjoy getting to know Mason, an ex-Delta Force who leads the agency. While Mason demonstrates excellent military skills and intelligence, he is a man torn inside with internal struggles. The Wolf and the Lion features genuinely flawed characters and a complex conflict. Strong motivation drives the characters and their actions. This novel is breathtaking and forces the reader to keep their eyes on the characters. - Romuald Dzemo for Readers' Favorite Outstanding and intense, The Wolf And The Lion by Rex Holloway packs a sledgehammer's punch that left me reeling. The actionfilled plot is straightforward. It is about some evil men seeking to steal from some good but imperfect fellows, and the consequences and carnage be damned. What is not so straightforward is the subtle theme of becoming something more than just a selfish jerk living only for today. I found the character development exemplary, and not only did I despise the bad guys and root for the good, but I was also fascinated by the peek at an intriguing sub-culture as shown through the actions and motivations of the bikers. A roaring pace akin to a Harley Davidson tearing up the road made this novel a barrage of action that will satisfy adrenaline junkies of all stripes, and I recommend it without reservation. - Gaius Konstantine for Readers' Favorite The first installment of Rex Holloway's intriguing Mason series is nonstop action. He draws readers into the story at an early point with origin stories that withhold essential details of the main characters' lives, making for interesting character development. He pulls it off so effortlessly that by the time this enjoyable journey reaches its halfway point, the reader wi
