Through The Storm is Dovia Winkelmann memoir. She will tell of her time in foster care that would eventually lead her into a depression that would have her in a downward spiral for over 25 years of her life. It wouldn't be until she learned to listen to God that she would finally get the peace that she had craved for so long. I was born in Decatur Il in 1981. In 1985 I went into foster care which would start a spiral of depression, anxiety, and eventually suicidal thoughts and acts. It wouldn't be until my 30s that I would finally start taking taking the necessary steps with God to get the peace that I craved for so very long.
