Djenita Svinjar is the author and creator of Tiber’s Travels . Originally from Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Djenita and her family fled the country during the Bosnian War as refugees to build a better life in the United States. Growing up in Rochester, New York, she later graduated with her BA from Saint Bonaventure University and received her law degree from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, all while delving into international relations and traveling abroad personally and for her studies—and, of course, developing a love for Golden Retrievers. Following graduation from law school, Djenita has worked in the real estate and commercial construction industries. In her free time, she serves on various non-profit boards, loves to learn more about viticulture, and created her own podcast, Wines and Wins, along with her leadership consulting organization, Svinesq, LLC. An ardent lover of travel, she spends her time between Colorado and Europe but has not yet found a place she did not enjoy. Charlie Crouse is the coauthor of Tiber’s Travels and was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. Charlie left Colorado for several years to serve domestically and abroad as an Air Force Intelligence Officer. He also traveled as much as he could, on military duty and personally, further developing a love for travel that has been a huge part of his life since he was a child. He has always had Golden Retrievers as well, which led to a love of dogs that is hard to properly describe. Charlie has been back in Denver for the past several years and is a huge fan of the outdoors, the mountains, the growing wine industry in Colorado, and helping to grow the space industry domestically and abroad. A proud graduate of the Air Force Academy, American Military University, and Saint Bonaventure University, Charlie loves giving back to the community as much as possible, be it through mentoring, volunteer programs (CATS at Denver International Airport, AIAA, and others), or serving non-profit organizations like Denver Sister Cities International and WorldDenver. He also serves on the Next-Generation Advisory Council for the USAFA Association of Graduates.
