About the AuthorThe short stories in this book are based on experiences from the personal diary of William E. Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was an Air Force ROTC graduate in December 1955 from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. He entered Air Force flight training in June of 1956, graduating and receiving his pilot wings in July of 1957. He selected advanced training in the F-86 Sabre jet program at Moody AFB, Valdosta, Georgia. In February of 1958 he was assigned to the 324th Fighter Interceptor Squadron at Westover AFB, Springfield, Massachusetts. In June of 1958 Lt. Reynolds and the squadron were moved to Sidi Slimane, Morocco. From 1963 through 1965, Capt. Reynolds was a member of the 73rd Troop Carrier Squadron, flying C-119G/J, at Scott AFB, Illinois. In 1966 Mr. Reynolds was awarded a State of Illinois research grant to provide aerospace education to high school students. This program operated for 10 years until Reynolds accepted a position as an administrator in the school district in which he was teaching. During the last two years of employment before retirement, he established an Air Force Junior ROTC program at Dupo, the only program at that time in southern Illinois.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
