While Dickens presents Tim as an endearing, innocent character, I drew upon my background as a psychotherapist to imagine the anguish a 6-year-old boy would endure having a physical malady in 1843 Engand. Since I've been working with the healing properties of dreams for the past 40 years, I crafted the dreamworld to assist Tim in overcoming his suffering. As so often happens in dreams, visitors appear in the most interesting forms and reveal what we normally cannot see in the waking state. I believe that we are all visited by beautiful souls, some in our dreams, others in the flesh.
