The most popular 17 inch extended replacement trash chute gas door closer in the chute industry for both your trash or laundry chute door, although it is more consistently used for garbage chutes and not often used for linen doors. This thicker tube part of the cylinder measures about 10 inches long, and when the rod is fully extended measures 17 inches in total length. Also the barrel of this trash chute closer is about 3/4" thick.

There are no extra loose parts for this piston. Unlike using hardware brackets on typical closers, this 17 inch gas hydraulic shock (brazo idralico para ducto de basura) has a snap-on ball socket fitting as you will see in the photos. For replacement, you will have to remove the clip on the opposite side of the ball stud connector on each end of this hydraulic. After installing make sure you test the latch to see if it safely and securely closes the door and all doors in your building during and after construction.
You will get the items you see in the photos. To make sure you have an exact fit, we recommend that you measure your current rubbish door. Make sure that it is compatible with one of the sized doors noted above. If you are replacing the current trash chute door closers, then look at your existing hydraulic, and make sure that it has the ball stud fittings on each end.
