Given her previous profession, traveling is an immense passion of hers. She currently does freelance work as a writer and works in immigration advocacy. The author has an MFA in writing from Lindenwood University. Rachel now lives with her loving husband. West Virginia is Rachel's home state. Rachel grew up in the wild and wonderful state and has many fond memories of the area. She goes home, to almost heaven, every chance she gets. Some of her favorite memories of West Virginia are of playing in the woods as a child and horseback riding through the mountains. No matter where Rachel resides, she will always be a Mountaineer at heart. The author views this book as an extended love letter to her home state. The helpful information in this book is an accumulation of Rachel's joyful experiences growing up and traveling throughout the beautiful state of West Virginia and the experiences and hidden favorite gems of locals throughout the entire state.
