Traveling in Wonder is not your typical travel journal turned book-it's not even a travel guide. Instead, Traveling in Wonder: A Travel Photographer's Tales of Wanderlust reads like a letter from Autumn to the many countries she's visited, first as a student traveling abroad, then as a flight attendant, a travel agent, and more recently, a travel photographer. With a gift for storytelling, Autumn invites the reader into what she was experiencing in each country. She also weaves in reflections on a broader level-her thoughts on being bullied, anxiety, falling in love, and how we're all more alike than we may believe. Explore Autumn's words for tips and best practices on traveling. Discover Autumn finding her identity not in her goal of 30 countries within 30 years but in who she became because of the people she met, both abroad and at home, and what they taught her about life. Traveling in Wonder is also a love letter to self, and the courage it takes to get on a plane and go, but also in choosing not to run away from your problems in the present, and equally, letting ordinary days teach you more about yourself. "Insightful observances and tips for fellow journeyers, combined with inward explorations." Kirkus Reviews "The author's account of her travels, and her determination to travel to as many places as possible, makes for an engrossing narrative." The BookLife Prize "Wanna-be travelers will find the variety of travels and the life-changing career transformations to be equally vivid and attractive, whether they plan on riding along with Carolynn in an armchair with Traveling in Wonder , or embarking on a similar journey themselves, keeping wonder at the forefront of anticipations about immersion into unfamiliar territory." Midwest Book Review Autumn Carolynn received her bachelor's degree in English with an emphasis in creative writing from Illinois State University and Canterbury Christ Church University. She is a published author with Spoon River Poetry Review and has worked as an on-air DJ for two radio stations. Autumn helped produce a creative writing segment aired on WGLT, an NPR station, which introduced writers from all over the Midwest and allowed them to share their work on air. She is an award-winning travel photographer who owns her business, Autumn Carolynn Photography. One can find her work across multiple galleries, including the Northrup King Building, one of the largest art complexes in the United States. She resides in the Twin Cities and enjoys rescuing animals, walking her dogs, snuggling her cats, and playing music with her husband in her spare time.
