Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, or Tropical Hibiscus, is a large species of flowering shrubs cultivated worldwide. The exceptional variety of flower forms and colors available today is the result of global hybridization efforts. 🍃These unique varieties are commonly known as Fancy, Exotic, or Hybrid Tropical Hibiscus and are prized for their complex colors and structures. While they require careful and attentive cultivation, they are a rewarding choice. 🌸Sweet Pink is a hybrid of the Hibiscus rosa-sinensis species. It is a sturdy, upright bush that does not require grafting. The flowers are large, 7 to 9 inch classic, crested, doubles comprised of slightly ruffled petals in multiple shades of pastel to rose pink. Flower color and form are variable and are affected weather and maturity. It has a resilient root system, but is best grown as a well-tended potted plant. 🤗Care: Best as a well-tended potted plant in high-quality, well-draining, slightly acidic media. Provide bright, indirect light; protect from hot afternoon sun. Thrives at 70°F-90°F (with a 10°F day/night drop) and 60%-80% humidity. Specific Needs: 'Sweet Pink' is sensitive to overwatering; allow slight drying between waterings. Requires fertilizer high in iron with a full trace element package for best health. 🏠 Indoor Growing: Exotic Tropical Hibiscus do not adapt easily to indoor growing environments due to their specific needs for light, humidity, and temperature fluctuations. Successful indoor cultivation will require significant modifications to an average growing space. 🌡Climate: Hibiscus rosa-sinensis are tropical plants recommended for outdoor growing within USDA Growing Zones 9, 10, 11. Cold protection is required in all Zones for optimum appearance, earliest flowering, and best overall plant health. The product is a starter-sized plant with an approximate 4-inch-diameter root zone. The plant will be a minimum of 6 to 8 inches tall. It will not have buds or blooms on arrival. Starter-sized plants are intended for a gardener to plant and grow to their mature size.
