The first edition of this book was published in 1999. This revised and expanded second edition was published 01/05/2024. The primary objective of this book has always been to help Face Frame Cabinetmakers transition from Face Frame Cabinetry to True32 FrameZERO Cabinetry, or to help Frameless Cabinetmakers systematize their Frameless Cabinetry. The motivation behind writing this revised and expanded edition was to add sections and chapters that reflect changes in the cabinet manufacturing industry (e.g., machinery, materials, functional hardware, etc.), but also what changed about the system as a result of these changes. CNC Machinery was available in 1999 when the first edition of this book was published, but it was expensive and required not only a large investment in the machinery, but also in software and training on that software, and I had no personal experience to share (now I do). The Great Recession of 2008 happened since the first edition was published as well, and drastically changed what I was being asked to help with. In the early days after publishing the first edition of True32 Flow Manufacturing, everyone wanted to know how to make more cabinetry faster. In 2008, that changed, the cabinetmakers calling me wanted to know how to sell more cabinetry, which in my mind at the time had little or nothing to do with the True32 System. It did not take me long to realize that I needed to sell more cabinetry, and so had to figure out how to systematize that process as well. This latest edition of True32 Flow Manufacturing has a chapter on CNC Machinery, a chapter on Marketing and Sales and lots or additional sections throughout touching on all the other changes to our industry. I have replaced the Appendices with a website that has a lot more resources, but also has the original resources included in the appendices of the first edition. I hope you find this new and improved edition helpful. May the Lord bless the work of your hands, heart and mind.
