The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) was charged with investigating transnational organized criminals, and the DEA Special Agents were the soldiers on the frontline of that war. This was not a street-level war, but an international fight that required these soldiers to pursue all international collaborators and criminals. Those international collaborators and criminals included terrorists, arm traffickers and money launderers. It was very dangerous work, and DEA Special Agent Anthony Kelly was aware of the risks to himself, as well as potentially to his family and people close to him.
