Her award-winning research on Pacific walrus was the focus of a full-length BBC Natural World nature documentary called Walrus: Two Tonne Tusker. Dr. Muraco is a permitted wildlife rehabilitator for the state of Mississippi where she specializes in North American Beavers. She is also the founder and CEO for the nonprofit, Something Wild, which provides rescue, rehabilitation, research and release of native Mississippi wildlife. Dr. Muraco lives in rural Hancock County on a 35-acre wildlife preserve with her husband and two sons. Colleen C. Coggins fell into children's books illustration by chance.
