Spiritual awakenings are something that come from out of nowhere. When they happen it’s like a Divine surprise party. However, unlike the average surprise party, they’re often confusing, inconvenient, disorienting, and perhaps in the beginning, even a bit unwelcome. Such was the case for Kimiko, in Alivia Sattva Khan’s novel, Twin Flames – Journey to Awakening… As with so many others, Kimiko’s spiritual awakening did not come about at a very convenient time in her life. It also shook her life to its foundations while providing her with some peace as changes were happening all around. Fortunately for her, she did not have to fly solo in this journey. The age-old adage, ‘when the student is ready, the teacher will come,’ also proved itself to be true for her as she continued along on her own life’s path. As the first book in this series, Twin Flames is both an easy and engaging read. For many of you it will also bring you more than a few times when you’ll nod in understanding as you encounter those ‘yeah, I get that’ moments throughout. In telling this story, Alivia comes from a place of empowered humility. Her sharing is done in the hopes that it will provide the reader who may be going through an Awakening experience with the reassurance that things do get better.
