Title IX was enacted by Congress on June 23, 1972 to provide educational opportunities without discrimination on the basis of sex. UCLA and USC were two of the first colleges to embrace the new law in starting women's athletic departments. This 400 page book covers the 50 years of USC & UCLA women's sports with a breakdown of the 1970s, '80s, '90s, 2000s, 2010s and into the 2020s. The Bruins and Trojans have had some amazing leadership, athletes and coaches in producing numerous Olympians, AIAW titles and now NCAA champions. There is background on the start of the Title IX programs, all the way to the present where the two schools still represent two of the three best women's college programs in the nation. The book includes numerous feature stories and tables of team results, Olympians, and historic outcomes for the two universities.
