According to ASME B30.26, the turnbuckle's end fitting threads should be fully engaged in the body threads. HEAVY-DUTY TURNBUCKLES - Use turnbuckle tensioners for in-line pulls, tension, and rigging applications, including tensioning wire rope, steel cable, and guy wire. Use attachments like shackles, wire rope slings, oblong links, and poly round slings. QUICK ATTACHMENT - The adjustable turnbuckles are fitted with a nut, bolt, and cotter pin, useful for quicker attachment than eye ends and provides more security than a hook end. Turning the body tightens both ends with right and left hand threading. HOT-DIPPED GALVANIZED - Our steel turn buckles has a hot dip galvanized finish to withstand corrosion and tough weather conditions. The turn buckle tensioner has a 5,200-lbs working load limit when engaged and 5:1 design factor for strong securement. With a 5,200-lb working load limit (when engaged) and 5:1 design factor, the hot dipped galvanized turnbuckle can be used to tension wire rope, steel cable, and guy wire, and can support your heavy-duty applications including wire towers, suspension, mining, oil rigging, and safety railing. Also known as cable tightener or cable turnbuckle, our 3/4" turnbuckle galvanized are fitted with a nut, bolt, and cotter pin assembly for quicker attachment and release than eye ends, and more security than hook ends. Use the turn buckle tensioner heavy duty with other hardware to create a versatile assembly, such as screw pin shackles, wire rope slings, oblong master links, and poly round slings. You can use a pipe wrench to tighten the hardware, and pliers to tighten cotter pin. It is UNC coarse thread, which is faster to adjust and has less turning than fine thread.
