Most of Camilla's books are non-fiction and focus on the natural world, but she writes on many subjects for both children and adults. In addition to writing books under her own name, Camilla also works as an editor/consultant/ghost writer and she has been behind several top-selling books that have appeared under the names of others, such as celebrity adventures and young naturalists. Camilla's academic background is in the sciences and she is a Fellow of the Zoological Society of London. She has worked as a journalist and is a specialist reading teacher. Camilla also edits, writes learning materials, advises on the production of information leaflets and regularly reviews children's books. She lives in London and, whenever possible, travels to watch wildlife in action. Jiatong Liu is a Chinese-born illustrator who lives in London.
