PERFECT PROFILES IN 1 PASS - Unlike using standard roundover bits, which can result in ridges or offsets and require multiple passes, Ultra-Shear's Half-Round Bits, or bullnose router bits cut perfect profiles in a single pass. SOLID CARBIDE HEAD - This half round router bit features a solid carbide head brazed to a steel shank. This combines the superior cutting geometry & extended life of solid carbide with the toughness of a steel shank. Ultra-Shear Metric Half-Round Router Bits are available individually or in sets. One set matches the DF-500 (4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm), and the other matches the DF-700 (8mm, 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm). This versatility ensures you have the right bit for any project.

Custom Tenon Stock with Precision & Style

Ready-made Domino tenons are engineered for even glue distribution and to avoid hydraulic pressure from too much glue. However, they are not very attractive when exposed in through joints. Ultra-Shear's Metric Half-Round Bits cut precisely the right profiles at the right sizes, allowing you to make tenon stock that looks great when exposed and fits perfectly in the mortises.

Step-by-Step Tenon Stock Creation

Machine Thickness: Adjust the thickness of your stock to fit the mortise.

Profile One Edge: Use the Half-Round Bit to profile one edge.

Cut Width: Cut the material width to match the mortise.

Profile Second Edge: Profile the second edge to complete the tenon stock.

Now you have tenon stock that fills the mortise completely and looks great, whether made from the same species or a contrasting one for added detail. You can also make tenon stock to fit the wider settings on the machines or overlap two cuts to create even wider mortises.

Carbide Head Design

The router bit design features solid carbide brazed to a solid steel shank. This combines the clean-cutting spiral geometry of solid carbide bits with the economy of a steel shank, ensuring high performance for less.
