Fusarium is the most common fungal endophyte encountered in nature, and is ubiquitous in nearly all environments. If we begin to understand what drives pathogenicity and virulence, we can work backward in even the worst virulent takeover and stop the disease quickly and prevent future pathogenic outbreaks. When we are able to work WITH nature and understand and manage nutrition, while providing a suppressive microbiome; we can actually benefit from the fusarium present, and never see pathogenicity express again. Fusarium is a greatly misunderstood fungus, and due to this deep misunderstanding, industry-wide, it is often times the culprit of financial ruin for may growers worldwide. In high density contained media and hydroponic grow situations we have great control over our nutritional management, watering, and environment. For this reason, we have utter control over the expression of pathogenic traits within fusarium. This book elucidates how each nutritional and environmental factor effects the genetic expression of pathogenic and virulence genes, and how we can repress those through management of these completely controllable factors in these type of growing environments. We further discuss the use of natural products to stop and reverse virulence, as well as the use of particular biology to create a supressive environment within the growing media, and on the host phyllosphere. In addition to the information presented, is real world application discussion and knowledge that has been gained through extensive real world scenarios in which we have achieved complete remediation of pathogenicity and virulence, and have attained plant health that far exceeds the health and vigor seen pre-pathogenic infection.
