He taught social studies for two years and then worked as a special educator for twelve years and as an Education Diagnostician. He completed his Doctorate of Education at Louisiana State University, Shreveport in Leadership Studies. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Special Education Program Coordinator at University of Louisiana Monroe. He is married and has two beautiful girls.
