Vault of Secrets: Surviving the Holidays — Reflection Workbook The holidays aren’t joyful for everyone. For many, the season brings emotional pressure, old wounds, loneliness, and the quiet sense of not belonging. Anna Lenoir is a Fine Art graduate and emotional-illustration creator whose work is used by therapists, educators, and emotional-wellness professionals to support reflection, clarity, and grounding through imagery. This workbook offers a private interior space to unpack the complicated emotions that surface during the holidays — without judgment, expectation, or forced cheer. WHAT THIS WORKBOOK DOES Rather than offering advice or telling you how to feel, Vault of Secrets: Surviving the Holidays uses visual projection — the same method used in her Trauma Workbook — to help you recognize your own emotional truth faster through imagery. Each page centers one expressive emotional portrait from the Vault of Secrets collection, paired with simple, repeatable reflection prompts: • What emotion do you see in this expression? • Why does this feeling show up for you this time of year? • What memory is stirred by this face? • Where does this emotion live inside you right now? This process uncovers holiday-specific stressors, relational patterns, unresolved grief, personal expectations, and the emotional stories we carry into the season — but the meaning always comes from the reader. HOW COUNSELORS & COACHES USE THIS WORKBOOK This is a reflective tool, not clinical advice. Professionals use it in two ways: 1. Independent Exploration Individuals work privately through one image at a time, naming the emotions the season brings up — overwhelm, pressure, sadness, nostalgia, anxiety, resentment, displacement, or longing. 2. Collaborative Sessions Counselors and coaches explore an image with the client and ask guiding questions such as: • “Why this image today?” • “What holiday memory does this expression echo?” • “What expectation are you carrying alone?” The illustration becomes a bridge; the writing becomes the map. WHO THIS WORKBOOK IS FOR • individuals struggling through the holidays • people navigating loneliness, grief, or emotional overwhelm • those feeling “out of place” during family gatherings • adults healing from relational wounds • therapy clients and journaling communities • support-group members • anyone seeking grounding and emotional clarity during the season WHAT MAKES THIS WORKBOOK DIFFERENT It does not tell you to “be positive.” It does not pressure you to perform holiday cheer. It does not diagnose or advise. Instead, it gives you a safe vault to explore what the season truly stirs inside you — honestly, quietly, and at your own pace. A PLACE TO BREATHE DURING A DEMANDING SEASON You don’t have to pretend you’re okay. You don’t have to carry the weight alone. You begin with one image… one reaction… one truth at a time. The Vault of Secrets is your shelter. The writing is your voice. The clarity is yours alone.
