The compensation spilled over the bank vault. He could keep his dog Harold, and she her cat Ava. They all moved in together and that’s when things started to unravel.Murray had no baggage or anything else for that matter.Veronique came with freight so immense one could fill several warehouses with it.She had money, education, a great figure and looks over the rainbow. He was at best a strange looking duck with little hope of a successful future.Amazing things happened in the short span of one year. Life is like living in a bowl of cherries; some are good while others easily spoil. There are those who believe taking a short cut is the only way. Most of these people stumble and never reach the finish line. Those lucky enough to tumble out early have a chance and those who linger behind hoping someone else will cure their problems' rot away in their own failures. Laughter is contagious even when watching those who commit a wrong tumble further into their errant ways. It's fun and ridiculously evil to write about those who no matter how hard they try, can't help making mistakes. It's almost as much fun to watch some who have no hope of doing anything successful and are able to turn the corner. By making a few adjustments, they realize a way to correct their path. How exciting it is to charge into life and actually accomplishing impossible goals. We never know what life will bring or what mystery lies around the bend. To those brave enough to take the challenge and go around the unknown curves in the road are usually the ones that succeed. Veronique and Murray is about such people and the events that lead them on a journey to fulfilling their hopes and dreams. William Byron Hillman has written ten novels, is a filmmaker having written produced and directed 12 feature films and numerous TV projects, and is an actor. He began a long entertainment career first as a short-story writer, started a brief singing career that evolved into acting where among his credits are a two-year stint on "Days of Our Lives" and a nineteen-week role in "Ice Station Zebra." He then took a giant step into film production. He started at the bottom as a production assistant and rapidly became a screenwriter, director and producer of many films and television shows. His latest film Quigley has become a home video smash hit selling over 2 million DVD's. He is currently developing the sequel Quigley's Christmas Adventure, and is editing his latest novel Bad Rap. Bill currently lives in South Carolina and Los Angeles, Ca. A story note. Originally developed and sold to 5 major producers and studios production company's in screenplay form, given a green light twice only to be cancelled and finally all rights reverted back to me. My agent suggested I should write the novel. Years back I met a funny and colorful young lady who came into the U.S. illegally and spent years trying zany ways to skip the long process and take a short cut or two to obtain a Green Card. All of her nutty attempts failed, and she ultimately applied for and became a U.S. Citizen the legal way. The seed of an idea from these crazy escapades led me to write Veronique and Murray. The story includes a bit of mystery, a host of colorful characters, and a tinge of danger. You'll also find some laughter, and some intriguing fun. Oh and there is a dog named Harold, whose personality is quite incredible. Reviews have stated it is the most romantic book they ever read.
