Rayne Vázquez has been living a double life as Joules, one of the most promising vigilantes in Eonia City. But when she discovers the corrupt ways of the Heroic Department, fighting crime and electrocuting pesky Heroics isn’t enough. She is willing to do whatever it takes to take down the ECHD and reveal its twisted ways. Even if it puts her in more danger than any villain on the Heroics' list. Poppy Finch-Lewis expected more than taking statements and fetching files when she began interning at the Eonia City Heroic Department. Things finally change when she is recruited to track down a dangerous vigilante. But when the vigilante in question isn’t as menacing as she has been led to believe, Poppy begins having second thoughts on what it really means to be a Heroic. As the two are forced into partnership in order to appease the media, Rayne and Poppy must learn to trust each other and work together, despite their allegiances.
