A family moves to a small coastal town in New England and is starting to put down roots when a youthful publicity stunt turns the idyllic little community into a cauldron of paranoia. As strange things keep happening in town, suspicion mounts and fingers are pointed at teenager Leigh Phillips' new friends. Who is trying to set them up or is one of their group secretly guilty? Leigh, along with her mother and stepfather embark on a creative plan to prove the teens' innocence. Leigh and her new friends must figure out how to survive a modern-day witch-hunt in a sometimes-traumatic thrill ride that will test the strength of their friendship and the mettle of their character.
