The book is divided in 4 parts. First part: Discusses healthy eating and drinking inspired from the medical literature and the bible. This is the first time that you see in a book that God recommendations for diet actually matches medical recommendations. - Second part: discusses fasting and all you need to know about prayer and fasting. You learn in this book that when you fast regularly for medical reasons, you rip the benefits of your fast by loosing weight because you don't take in too many calories and God honors your weight loss wishes - The third part discusses the role of exercise. Here you learn how your faith in God can motivate you to get to the gym regularly and put in work - fourth part discusses the various spiritual blocks for weight loss and how to diagnose and prevent those hindrances. In this book, I use my medical knowledge as physician as well as my spiritual knowledge of Christian to prescribe recommendations that always work for permanent weight loss. There are various medications such phentermine or ozempic that help temporary but here I give you a lifelong strategy for weight loss, not a temporary one. I have studied dietary habits of the bible that I summarized in the book to guide the reader on healthy food choices in part 1. I also provided scientific evidence for those food choices providing calorie content of foods and drinks that are regularly used. I provided healthy recipes that can be used on a daily basis with the recommended frequency of eating. The book is filled with tips on substances to avoid. I discuss the use of alcohol, cig, marijuana, caffeine, ect. I provide prayer points to fight addiction to sweets as well as medical information to receive help to stop smoking. In part 2, I describe spiritual fasting as a weapon to destroy the urges to eat. I provide scientific evidence that regular fasting is actually medically proven to be a healthy way of living. I provide tips for fasting safely when older or using medications that need consumption of food. The Daniel fast is the example I use to bring the reader into the realization that a modified fast is in fact biblical and healthier than overindulgence of food. I emphasize the fact that choice of food can change one person's destiny. I challenge the reader on the fact that eating less gets the reader closer to God. I provide prayer points and guidance on prayers that are helpful to defeat the enemy of fasting. The hunger or symptoms such as headache and dizziness are defeated in the place of prayer. This book describes fasting in the most comprehensive and deep way. I use a system of question and answers to bring home prayer and fasting. If only you knew how important prayer and fasting are for you to be spiritually and medically healthy! in part 3, I remind the reader that we are supposed to exercise daily. In biblical times, Jesus and disciples were walking everywhere and not driving cars. They went from place to place by foot to preach the gospel while we mostly drive everywhere in modern times. Therefore, it is critically important that we insert exercise in our daily living. I provide various forms of exercise that could fit each individual including those with bad knees. In part 4, I make the reader aware of the blockages to success in losing weight and provide tips to avoid those potential hindrances. This book is honestly a must have book for any human being. It defines your lifestyle of eating, drinking and exercise. This book gets you closer to God as it teaches you to understand how to please God and stay healthy.
