All my clever sayings in one place: “When The Time Comes To Buy, You Won’t Want To – Timeless Pieces of Wit and Wisdom Compiled by a Wall Street Legend”! 64 of the most perceptive and insightful quotes I've compiled during my 55-year career. Most of them are my own, but many other Wall Street notables are included, too -- from Richard Russell through Merrill Lynch’s fabled Bob Farrell to contemporaries John Bollinger, Dave Keller, Doug Kass and Liz Ann Sonders. There’s just one short quote on every page; a powerful and remarkably-insightful one. Most speak for themselves, but I’ve added an explanatory sentence or two where necessary. This is not a “sit-back-and-read-me” book or a “get rich quick” book. It’s a stimulating “idea” book to make you think about the markets. That, in turn, will make you a better investor. A much better one. "A great read from one of the masters of technical analysis." --Doug Kass "A great collection of market wisdom...and excellent presentation." -- Bob Farrell "Read it in 20 minutes; will quote it until the day I die." --SeattleSun "A quick read on investing but a powerful one. Bite-sized quotes and commentary from a mentor of mine who ran the technical research effort at Putnam during the secular bear market in the 1970's. Talk about experience. The book title is the punch line to one of my favorite stories from that period.." --David Keller I worked with institutional money managers for over 50 years. I soon learned if I could make a point quickly and clearly it was a lot more likely to get into their decision-making process. That's why I've coined phrases like "When the time comes to buy, you won't want to" throughout my career; powerful messages conveyed in just a few words.  I've also carefully curated them from the very talented people I've been fortunate to have been able to work with.  This book is a compilation of the most perceptive and insightful phrases of all; down-to-earth easily-understandable quotes that aren't technical at all. They'll make you sit back and think -- and help you become a better investor. A much better investor.   Walter Deemer retired in 2016 after a 52-year career as a market analyst.
