The story takes place in Mr. Gipson’s classroom. Michelle begins by asking her friend Zoe if she can come over to her house and play after school. Zoe tells her she cannot come, because she has strings practice. Michelle didn’t know Zoey played an instrument. Zoe also finds out that Michelle plays softball in the summer. This leads the two girls to ask the other students in their class where they go after school, and they find out the different activities their friends participate in such as cheerleading and dance to football and boxing.
